DIARY DATES FOR 2009/2010

Saturday 5^th September – Exmouth Brass Band Festival – Exmouth Pavilion and Gardens, Exmouth. Schedules were mailed to member bands early May.   Closing date for entries 18^th July.

Saturday 3^rd October – SWBBA Trombone Workshop – Tutor Derek Southcott – Venue – Conserative Club, Mill Road, Okehampton – Schedule & Application form on line.   Closing date for applications 19^th September.

Saturday 7^th November – SWBBA 63^rd Annual Championships – Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay.   Schedule & Entry form on line.     Closing date for entries 19^th September.

Saturday & Sunday 13^th & 14^th February – Mid-Winter Brass Workshop – West Buckland School, nr Barnstaple, North Devon.

Sunday 28^th February – Annual General Meeting.

Saturday 13^th & Sunday 14^th March – West of England Regional Championships – Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE Camborne Youth Band and their Musical Director, Alan Pope, for their 6^th successive win at the National Youth Brass Band Championships.   What a wonderful achievement, and Alan and his team must be extremely proud.   In fact, is there another band set-up in the country who can boast the current situation – Camborne Town (West of England Champions);   Camborne “B” (promoted to 1^st Section); and Camborne Youth (National Youth Champions).?

NATIONAL BRASS BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS

OF GREAT BRIATAIN   Sincere Best Wishes to the SWBBA bands who will be representing the West of England in the Finals in London (17^th October) and Harrogate (26^th/27^th September):- - Camborne Town (chanpionship section), Sherborne Town (1^st section), Camborne “B” and Verwood Concert Brass (2^nd section), Bugle Silver (3^rd section), St. Breward Silver (4^th section).
