CHILD PROTECTION /YOUNG PEOPLE/VULNERABLE PEOPLE
DURING CONTESTS/WORKSHOPS

Please note young people are aged 18 and under

CONTESTING

As regards to contesting - although SWBBA are conscious of this most important and complicated legislation each and every band MUST accept full responsibility for ALL players aged 18 and under and vulnerable adults in membership of the band.

Please note that there are NO crèche facilities available so players children WILL NOT be allowed to enter or remain in the Bandroom/Changing areas whilst parents are playing.   It is the parents' responsibility to ensure their children are looked after by a responsible person whom they know and NOT the Associations.

WORKSHOPS

It is our moral duty to be aware of the children/young people/vulnerable adults entrusted into our keeping for the duration of workshops/classes and also that of the parent bands'/parent/guardian to do the same.

If the parent/guardian does not wish to remain for the duration of the workshop then they must inform the SWBBA committee members present of this.
